My Vande Bharat Train Journey – An Unforgettable Experience

Vande-Bharat-Express-standing-at-Varanasi-railway-station-platform

Recently, I planned a two-day trip to Kashi (Varanasi). For the return journey, our train was Vande Bharat Express (Train No. 22435), which departs from Varanasi to New Delhi at 3 PM.
We reached the railway station around 2 PM and waited in the waiting room. We saw that the train had already arrived on platform number 1. At 2:40 PM, the gates opened, and we comfortably took our seats in coach C10.

Amazing Cooperation and Positive Environment

There were three members in my family, but our seats were in different places. We requested a lady to switch seats, and she happily agreed, allowing all three of us to sit together. Seeing such cooperation from fellow passengers truly warmed my heart.

As soon as we sat down, we received complimentary water bottles, which were included in the ticket. The full AC in the train was a relief in the scorching heat, though it felt a bit too cold. I called the helpline number provided in the coach, and someone spoke very politely and quickly had the AC temperature reduced.

Cleanliness and Convenience

We ordered onboard snacks because we had selected “no food” while booking the ticket. The staff member served the food first and took the payment later — a gesture that inspires trust. Cleaning was done immediately after we finished eating.

The toilets — one Indian and one Western — were very clean. Great attention was given to hygiene.

The outside view, window shields, and the display showing speed, time, and upcoming stations made the journey even more enjoyable.

A Sudden Problem

Just as everything was going smoothly, my 8-year-old daughter fell ill. She already had some stomach pain and started vomiting 3–4 times as soon as she boarded the train, followed by a headache. We were very worried.

When no medicine seemed to help, I called the helpline again. Within minutes, there was an announcement on the train:
“If there is a doctor on board, please proceed to seat number 52 in coach C10.”

A Testament to Humanity

Within 5 minutes, four doctors arrived one by one. They examined my daughter. Truly, doctors are like a form of God.

The train staff provided medicine from their first-aid kit, which was administered as per the doctors’ advice. Within a short time, my daughter felt relief and fell asleep.

Gratitude & Reflection

This journey became an emotional and memorable one for me. I want to thank:

  • The creators of the Vande Bharat train,
  • Its humble and helpful staff,
  • The passengers, and
  • Those angel-like doctors.

This journey taught me that when the system is efficient and people are helpful, any trip can be comfortable and safe.
